About Client:
A leading accounting and business advisory firm is looking for an Accounts Semi Senior who will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment that thrives on innovation, client focus, and professional growth. Key Duties:
- Preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, groups, charities and academies.
- Preparing year end working files and assisting auditors.
- Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts including posting journals of accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll.
- Preparation of control reconciliations and analytical review schedules.
- Maintenance of client’s accounting records and reconciliations including bookkeeping, processing of client data and dealing with queries.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Working at clients’ premises on their computer systems, liaising with the bookkeeper/director to prepare accounts and discuss results.
- Assisting with the training and supervision of junior members of staff.
You:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or currently sitting advanced/final exams.
- 5 GCSEs grade C or equivalent, and above. Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
- Good level of knowledge of accounting standards is essential.
- Experience of working on consolidated and Charities’ accounts is desirable.
- Experience of CCH Accounts Production and Xero Software is desirable. Excel is important too.
- Ideally able to drive with own vehicle, due to client locations.
- Able to work flexibly with willingness to travel to client sites and the Firm’s other office in London.
