Role:
We are looking for a skilled Audit Senior who will work on a variety of audit assignments.
Our audit department is currently made up of roughly 40 staff, all of whom are either trainees or fully qualified ICAEW or ACCA members.
Duties:
- Plan and review the full audit process
- Analyse risks and develop measures to mitigate them
- Manage the audit team٫ allocating responsibilities and reviewing the team's performance
- Training junior staff on the job where necessary
- Ensuring the timely completion of audits
- Reporting to audit manager or directly to partners
- Ability to liaise professionally with wide variety of client staff members (from finance staff up to FD / MD level).
- Optimising the audit process to increase compliance and efficiency
- Ad hoc queries, as required by clients or Brebners’ senior staff.
You:
- 4+ years' experience of working within audit
- Fully ACA or ACCA qualified
- Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations
- Team building and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks
- Familiarity with audit and accounts production software such as CCH ProAudit, Digita Accounts Production Advanced
